Claire Looney is Data Protection Advisor at Trilateral Research.

Her role involves providing data protection advice and guidance to various clients, ensuring compliance with EU Regulation, governing legislation and best practice.  Claire’s focus is providing practical, evidence-based guidance, tailored to the specific needs of clients and the particular context in which they are endeavouring to achieve compliance with data protection law.

Research Background

Claire’s background is in management and the development of regulated services in the voluntary healthcare sector, with a focus on collaborative practice with a number of diverse stakeholders.

Having initially earned a Bachelor of Social Studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Claire then studied Law and has obtained various qualifications in Employment Law and Data Protection Practice. Her current area of research relates to the lawful processing of personal data in the employment context.
