Research Analyst with Expertise in Socio-Economic Impact Assessments (SEIA)

We currently have a vacancy for a Research Analyst with expertise in Socio-Economic Impact Assessment (SEIA) methodologies, within our Policy, Ethics and Emerging Technology team

The work includes:
  • Completing a socio-economic impact assessment of cybercrime for an EU-funded project.
  • Preparing task descriptions for new Horizon Europe proposals
  • Supporting and advising team members on addressing socio-economic aspects in existing projects
  • Refining and updating the Trilateral SEIA research and methodology, including the indicators.
  • Participating in project and team meetings
  • Briefing and consulting with Trilateral’s Policy, Ethics and Emerging Technology team.

 

The following outcomes are examples of what is expected in this role: Completion of a socio-economic impact assessment on cybercrime; preparation of SEIA task descriptions for funding proposals; publications for peer-reviewed journals based on research carried out.

Essential requirements:
  • Completion/near completion of a PhD, or Masters in Economics.
  • Good knowledge in economics and/or socio-economic impact assessment methods
  • Good writing and communications skills

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in carrying our socio-economic impact assessments
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and cybercrime analysis.
  • Familiarity with H2020 and/or Horizon Europe projects or proposals.

Experience in writing funding applications.

Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK

Start date: Immediately

Contract type/ duration: Permanent or Fixed Term

Salary: Commensurate with experience
