We are seeking to hire a data analyst to help support the development of machine learning solutions for our clients in the private and public sector. Internships for MSc students are also available.


The Data Analyst role requires the successful candidate to:

  • Have a sound understanding of data analysis, including a thorough understanding of the methods and various approaches to problem solving.
  • Have broad experience with a wide array of frameworks and systems, databases and programming languages, with strong knowledge of Python in particular.
  • Apply data science to a variety of topics in the social-tech domain, including among others, pandemics, child exploitation, modern slavery, fake news, citizen participation, and renewable energy.
  • The post-holder will be expected to work on projects in the private and public sector, both in the UK and internationally, and to deliver products, research, technical proposals and reports in a collaborative and supportive research-intensive environment in which short and demanding deadlines are frequent.


Specific job responsibilities include: 


  • Data collection, curation, cleaning, analysis, and visualisation.
  • Contributing, with the support of an interdisciplinary team, to the development of cloud-based machine learning solutions for public and private clients.
  • Contributing to the writing of technical reports and deliverables.
  • Writing content for publications, grant proposals and tender submissions.
  • Attending and/or presenting at national/international conferences and workshops.


 Qualifications and skills:


  • MSc in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Strong command of Python.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality.


Good to have:


  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or other cloud providers.
  • Experience of working in an agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and web applications.


Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK, Ireland, or other European Countries

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours: Full Time
