Due to a rapid growth of our commercial business lines, we are seeking to engage a contracts administrator to support the organisation.


Specific job responsibilities include: 

  • Management of all vendor and customer contract documents
  • Creation of vendor and customer contracts based on existing templates and/or framework agreements
  • Development of new legal instruments and templates and/or improvement to existing ones
  • Review of all vendor and customer contracts to protect the strategic and financial interests of the company
  • Review and coordinate the execution of all NDAs, grant agreements, consortium agreements, and sub-contractor agreements
  • Act as liaison to external legal counsel
  • Develop and maintain a company-wide intellectual property framework and register
  • Coordinate with invoicing personnel to ensure timely and accurate collection of revenues under customer contract terms.
  • Coordinate with commercial administration personnel to ensure timely reporting in accordance with framework agreements.
  • Ensure the timely review and creation of all required documents to support the needs of the organisation, based upon established internal service level agreements.


Must have:

The following are required for your application to be considered:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, administration or other relevant field, or, alternatively, additional 2 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the contract laws and regulations of England and Wales.  Knowledge of contract laws and regulations of the Republic of Ireland are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills, including specialised language skills in contract law
  • Ability to take responsibility and work independently
  • Ability to identify key issues and escalate them promptly to management or the legal counsel
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom


Good to have:

The following are preferred and will distinguish the successful applicant from others, but are not strictly required:

  • Expertise contract administration for Horizon2020, Horizon Europe, and other EU-funded research programmes
  • Expertise in contract administration for UK-funded research programmes, included but not limited to Innovate UK programmes and Crown Commercial Service frameworks and contracts.
  • Previous work experience in research organisations, professional services consultancy, or similar
  • Knowledge of UK and EU intellectual property laws and regulations
  • Experience with employment contracts


Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours: Part Time or Full Time

Contract Type: Permanent
