Trilateral is recruiting for a Business Development Representative, who has familiarity with law and compliance around data protection / data governance to join our Data Governance team. Your role will be to assist in developing the business by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers in the UK, Ireland and beyond.


Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a substantial sales pipeline, managing leads as they are generated
  • Locate, develop and generate sales opportunities in our target sectors.
  • Identify client needs and assist in creating product / service packages to suit those needs
  • Contact potential clients through appropriate direct and indirect channels, e.g., via referrals from law firms
  • Develop and update a strategy for business development in partnership with Senior Management and Consultants
  • Develop substantial knowledge of our products and services, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our competitive positioning vis-à-vis industry trends.
  • Support the development of marketing materials in partnership with the marketing team
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Build visibility for the company in appropriate forums, networks and events
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market


Required skills:

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads and transitioning them into sales, particularly in healthcare or the public sector. In addition, the following specific skills and expertise is required:

  • Proven experience successfully meeting sales targets and driving growth for a particular, relevant product or service
  • Experience with multi-channel lead development and sales techniques
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software
  • Experience maintaining sales pipelines and associated documentation
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or relevant field
  • An existing network of contacts in healthcare or the public sector would be desirable.


Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours: Full Time/ Part Time

Contract Type: Permanent
