Bid/Tender Writer

We are looking to engage a Bid/Tender writer with demonstrable expertise relating to applications in the public authority domain (e.g., local authorities, law enforcement, safeguarding teams, governmental departments) as well as the civil society space. The bid/tender writer will focus on projects aligned to Trilateral’s mission of addressing societal problems through the combination of Sociotech. The candidate will be expected to support the research and technical teams to identify and bid-for relevant open tenders and framework contracts, supporting the business develop and grow into this area.

The post-holder will be expected to liaise with the research, technical and administrative teams to write high quality bids for the purpose of business development. This will include gathering information from subject matter experts, aligning this information to customers’ requirements and creating high-quality content to showcase our offering.

Specific job responsibilities:
  • Developing high-quality tender content throughout the end-to-end bidding process that fully explains our offer and meets all of the customer’s requirements
  • Writing tenders for the public sector
  • Liaising with Senior Management, research and technical teams to develop tender offers
  • Ensuring all documentation is high-quality, accurately completed and submitted on time
  • Checking for relevant opportunities on portals and publicising them internally as appropriate
  • Developing networks in the UK and Europe to successfully pursue both single applicant and collaborative tenders and framework agreements
  • Maintaining a tender library and other internal documents and processes for designing and managing the bid tender process as part of the full tender lifecycle.

 

What you will need to be successful:
  • A proven record of writing winning tenders and commercial bids, especially for the public and civil society sectors
  • The capability to write effective, concise and compelling content
  • Knowledge of how to combine social science expertise with technical capabilities to address societal problems (e.g.: homelessness, violence, poverty, human trafficking, human security, access to justice, climate change, adult social care, discrimination)
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • A complete understanding of the full tender process lifecycle
  • Experience in developing networks for effective partnership and collaboration in tenders and framework contracts
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment
  • The ability to be agile and reactive to an ever-changing environment

 

Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience
