Bid/ Tender Writer – Consultancy Services

We are looking to engage a Bid Writer with demonstrable expertise to join our commercial business development team. The candidate will be expected to support the data protection and cyber-risk team to identify and bid-for relevant open tenders and framework contracts, supporting the business to develop and grow.

The post-holder will be expected to liaise with practitioners, technical specialists and administrative teams to write high quality bids for the purpose of business development. This will include gathering information from subject matter experts, aligning this information to customers’ requirements and creating high-quality content to showcase our offering.

Specific job responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality tender content throughout the end-to-end bidding process that fully explains our offer and meets all of the customer’s requirements
  • Liaise with Management, research and technical teams to develop tender offers
  • Work in partnership with business development representatives to draft Statements of Work for potential clients
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and services to revise stock content with minimal supervision
  • Ensure all documentation is high-quality, accurately completed and submitted on time
  • Check for relevant opportunities on portals and publicise them internally as appropriate
  • Maintain a tender library and other internal documents and processes for designing and managing the bid tender process as part of the full tender lifecycle.
What you will need to be successful:
  • A proven record of writing winning tenders and commercial bids, especially in the public sector
  • The capability to write effective, concise and compelling content
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • A complete understanding of the full tender process lifecycle
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, detail- and deadline-oriented environment
  • The ability to be agile and reactive to an ever-changing environment
  • Master’s degree in a related field is preferred, though a BA accompanied by relevant experience would be considered

Location: This position is open to candidates based in the UK, Ireland & other European Countries

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Hours: Full Time (with some flexibility for part time in exceptional cases)

Contract Type: Permanent
